Southbound passengers of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) had to get off the train early Thursday at the North Avenue station in Quezon City due to "door failure."

According to a tweet from the Department of Transportation, passengers were unloaded at 8:10 a.m. while the train received Category 3 status, meaning it was removed without replacement and there was cancellation of loops and insertion.

Operations of the MRT-3 were disrupted as early as 5:27 a.m. Thursday as northbound passengers were unloaded at Ayala Avenue station in Makati City due to a failure in its automatic train protection (ATP).

The incident also received a Category 3 status.

There were 16 trains running as of 9 a.m.
