A portion of the southbound lane of EDSA in Pasay City will be closed to traffic this weekend for the unloading and assembly of four new vehicles of the Metro Rail Transit-3.

An advisory posted Thursday on the official Twitter page of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said the innermost lane of EDSA southbound near the MRT-3 Taft Avenue Station will be closed to traffic from 8:00 p.m. Saturday to 3:00 a.m. Sunday, and again from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday.

The MMDA advised the public and all concerned motorists to take alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion in the area.
