A southbound train of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 unloaded up to 1,000 passengers on Thursday morning due to a technical problem.
According to train line's website, the unloading incident occurred at GMA Kamuning Station at 8:18 a.m.
Citing a media officer of the MRT3, a report by Allan Gatus on Dobol B sa News TV clarified the technical problem was an "electrical failure" in the train's motor.
The offloaded passengers were also reportedly able to catch another train within six minutes of being unloaded as MRT3 authorities sent a skip train to the station.
The glitch-afflicted train was brought to the MRT depot to undergo preventive maintenance, bringing down the number of operating trains from 14 to 13.
