Passengers of a southbound train of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) had to disembark at the Cubao station after the system encountered a technical problem on Monday morning.

In a tweet, the Department of Transportation said the train unloaded the passengers at 6:37 a.m.

The incident received a Category 3 status, meaning the train was removed without replacement or there was a cancellation of loops and insertion.

As of 7 a.m., the MRT-3 has 18 trains running.
