MANILA - The Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Metro Rail Transit (MRT) have released their operation schedules for the Holy Week.
In his Twitter account, LRT spokesperson Hernando Cabrera said lines 1 and 2 will suspend operations from April 2, Maundy Thursday, until April 5, Easter Sunday.
The last trip for both lines on April 1, Holy Wednesday, will be at 8 p.m.
Maintenance checks will be conducted during the said dates.
Operations of the MRT, likewise, will be suspended from April 2 until April 5.
On April 1, the last trip from North Avenue station will be at 7:40 p.m. while the last trip from Taft Avenue station will be at 8:20 p.m.
LRT and MRT operations will resume on April 6, Monday.
LRT 1 runs from Baclaran in Pasay City to Roosevelt in Quezon City, while LRT 2 stretches from Recto in Manila to Santolan in Pasig City.
MRT, meanwhile, runs along EDSA from Taft Avenue in Pasay City to North Avenue in Quezon City. -- With report from Jacque Manabat, ABS-CBN News
