Presidential aspirant Mar Roxas on Wednesday said the administration tried its best in addressing the issues hounding the MRT system in the country.
On ANC's "Meet Your Candidates" presidential forum, Roxas explained the constraints and limitations he encountered regarding the MRT while transportation chief.
He blamed the current maintenance contract, which he said binds the hands of the government.
Roxas said he will abrogate the existing contract if he gets elected and outlined proposals in improving the country's train system.
The program is a special forum, produced by ANC in partnership with the Harvard Club of the Philippines, Kellogg School of Management and Wharton-Penn Alumni Associations.
