At least 350 northbound passengers of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT3) had to disembark at Magallanes station in Makati City on Monday afternoon after the train experienced a technical problem.
In an advisory, the MRT3 said that the unloading incident occurred at 3:11 p.m. after its automatic train protection (ATP) had malfunctioned.

The ATP according to MRT3 is a "computer based interlocking and signaling and track circuit with the central control and monitoring located at the control center in North Avenue Station."
Meanwhile, passengers were able to board the next train which arrived five minutes later.
As of 3 p.m., there were at least 15 trains running.
